Privacy policy
This is a practical privacy template for AJ Realty, a fictional portfolio project. Before launching a real business service, replace the placeholders and review the policy for the applicable jurisdiction.
Information you provide
Contact, viewing, and valuation forms request names, email addresses, phone numbers, contact preferences, and relevant property details. In this demo these details remain in component memory and are not sent to a server. Closing or refreshing the page clears them.
Property inquiries and viewing requests
A connected business would use inquiry details to respond, arrange requested viewings, and maintain appropriate client records. A submitted request is not an appointment confirmation.
Seller information and photos
The valuation form collects property characteristics and expected timing. Selected photos preview locally using temporary object URLs. The demo never uploads them and releases preview URLs when replaced or the form closes.
Saved preferences
Property Passport identifiers and cookie choices are stored in localStorage on this browser. No account is required and no cloud profile is created. Shared shortlist links contain only property identifiers, not contact details. Anyone with the link can view that list.
Cookies and optional services
Necessary browser storage supports your privacy choices and saved properties. Analytics and marketing choices default to off. No optional analytics or advertising scripts are installed in this project. If added later, they must respect your recorded consent.
Third-party links and WhatsApp
A configured WhatsApp link opens WhatsApp with a prepared message. You choose whether to send it. WhatsApp and other external services apply their own privacy terms. The business number is intentionally unset in this project.
Retention
Browser preferences persist until cleared or changed. Contact form values are not retained after the page closes. A real business must define a retention schedule for inquiries, bookings, client records, and legal obligations before enabling server submissions.
Your choices and rights
Use Cookie Preferences in the footer to change optional choices. Remove saved properties in your Passport or clear this site’s browser data. A real data controller must provide access, correction, deletion, objection, and other applicable rights through a working contact channel.
Policy changes and contact
The business operator should publish changes with an effective date and provide an active privacy contact. The current placeholder email is hello@ajrealty.example. Effective template date: 6 October 2026.
